The Board of Directors is the governing body of Markaz Ul Islam and is responsible for strategic planning, financial oversight, policy development, and legal compliance. Board members are elected from the community in accordance with the organization’s bylaws.

The Board ensures responsible stewardship of donated funds, long-term sustainability of the organization, and oversight of facilities, programs, and partnerships.

A key responsibility of the VP FMIS is serving as a bridge between the Islamic Centre (Markaz Ul Islam) and the Fort McMurray Public School Division, helping maintain strong collaboration, communication, and alignment between the two institutions. Through this role, the VP works to support the success of students, educators, and families within the school community.
